Four Athenians find themselves in a forest inhabited by fairies who manipulate the humans and are engaged in their own domestic intrigue. It is a lighthearted\, humourous and fun tale of love and\, often misguided\, magic set in motion by the mischievous trickster Puck. The ballet adaptation is set to Mendelssohn’s 1827 concert overture and 1843 instrumental score which includes the famous “Wedding March.” \nBallet: A Canadian Way\nBengt Jörgen will bring this story to life in his own original ballet version as a tribute to Canada’s North. Ballet Jörgen’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream will bring out the magic of Northern Canada’s woodland and tundra landscapes and creatures of the forest such as moose\, beavers\, bears\, and squirrels. In addition to our professional dancers\, each performance will include up to 10 age-appropriate roles for local young aspiring dancers\, ages 9 to 17\, through Ballet Jörgen’s Local Participant Program. \nBuilt for our Audience and Communities\nThis family-friendly short ballet will captivate audiences of all ages and will warm the hearts of young and old alike. \n“Last night I saw the most stunning ballet performance of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Jörgen Dance. Brilliant choreography\, dancing\, set\, costumes\, & direction – high production values & talent – one of those productions where you know you are in capable\, talented hands and you can completely relax and enjoy the ride. So many laugh-out loud comedic moments\, beauty\, and delight. Plus\, it’s full of purely Canadian elements and lots of local dancers in the international company! In the studio\, six records have captured the furious energy of their live shows\, adding to the legacy of East Coast folk while lighting a path for a new generation of music lovers. \nAlready internationally acknowledged as musical trailblazers\, on their newest offering\, Schoonertown\, The East Pointers have come home. Equal parts origin story and statement of craft\, Schoonertown captures the moments that shaped their youth: nights out with the boys\, the dizzy romance of first love\, sprawling families and small towns\, two weeks on in a bleak winter\, kitchen parties and vinyl records and tape decks\, every mistake\, every late night\, every long drive\, beer and cigarettes and fights\, laughing until you can’t breathe\, ambition rising like a king tide\, the piss and vinegar of youth\, the sun emerging so bright over the horizon you have to shield your eyes–the devastation and exhilaration of all of it. \nSince their debut album\, Secret Victory\, took home the 2017 JUNO Award for Traditional Album of the Year\, The East Pointers have cemented their place as a defining voice in contemporary folk music. Their music\, streamed millions of times over each month\, has been featured on television\, film\, and broadcast\, and their acoustic performances on social media have been shared by the likes of Ed Sheeran and Mumford & Sons. They regularly light up stages across Australia\, Japan\, the UK\, Europe\, Mexico\, New Zealand\, the USA\, and Canada\, and each fall they bring that energy back home to Prince Edward Island\, where they host Goolaholla!\, a festival celebrating music\, community\, and the spirit of the East Coast. \nBUY TICKETS  \nPre-Show Dinner \nCocktails and Dinner: 6:00 PM\nShow: 8:00 PM \nRegular Price: $38.10 (Includes taxes and fees)Seniors 65+: $30.49 (Includes taxes and fees)\nChildren 10 and Under: $22.25 (Includes taxes and fees) \nDiscounts available for Seniors for pre-show dinner only. *Assigned seating*\nEach order placed will be assigned a table based on the number of tickets purchased in the order. And for their 53rd year of “playing rock & roll hot enough to melt the polar icecaps and flood the world’s major population centers” (Rolling Stone)\, the 2026 continuation of The Baddest Show On Earth Tour is a stage-shaking\, roof-raising\, guitar-snarling blast. “Could be the state of the world\,” “says George. “Maybe it’s the healing power of rock & roll. But when we hit the stage on any given night\, I can guarantee that we’ll make you feel like a teenager again.” \nThen again\, George & The Destroyers have always delivered on their promises. In 1976\, they debuted as the most explosive indie breakthrough act of the decade. Throughout the ‘80s/’90s MTV era\, Thorogood was the epitome of snakeskin & shades guitar-slinger cool. And with chart-topping hits like ‘One Bourbon\, One Scotch\, One Beer’\, ‘Move It On Over’\, ‘Who Do You Love?’\, ‘I Drink Alone’\, ‘Get A Haircut’ and the ultimate badass anthem ‘Bad To The Bone’\, George & The Destroyers became cornerstones of Classic Rock while their album catalog continues to dominate streaming charts worldwide. And whether it’s been their landmark performances at Live Aid and on SNL or recent smash tours with John Fogerty\, ZZ Top and Sammy Hagar\, they remain among the most reliable/formidable concert acts on the planet. “Don’t let anyone tell you this gig won’t keep you energized\,” “Thorogood says. “I defy bands half our age to put on a show like we do night after night.” \nAnd in a career which has seen him recently receive such tributes as The B.B. King Award from The Montreal International Jazz Festival\, being made honorary members of The Bo Diddley Centennial Committee\, and being invited to perform at The Grand Ole Opry\, are there any milestones left for Thorogood to achieve in the next 50 years? “It’s crazy to think that we’ve spent the last half century performing music we love for audiences who love what we do\,” George says. “But when you’ve got the best job in the world\, you can’t ever rest on your laurels. We not only work hard to bring our best\, but to keep getting better. That’s the only mission. That’s rock & roll.”
